Learners can learn by chatting with a bot, which presents a task and if the learners say they know the answer – they proceed to the quiz.
If the learners say they lack the knowledge – they are given a theoretical knowledge block and then proceed to the quiz. If the learners complete the test correctly – they proceed to the next node. If the answer is wrong, they are returned back to the theory and take the quiz once again.
This way the courses can be completed in a learner-friendly manner and the learners can spend as much time as they need on each node, not to mention that communication and gamification are much more popular amongst learners than listening to the lectures.
Instruction on Adding a Telegram Bot to Open edX
Below is the sequence of actions one needs to perform in order to take part in bot-friendly Open edX courses:

Create your Raccoon University acccount here: https://sandbox.raccoongang.com/

Authenticate your Telegram account to work with Open edX. Login to your Raccoon University account and press the “Get token” button. Then press the “Authorize” button, which will appear in the same area:

After that a new tab will open, where you will be prompted to begin chatting with a bot. If Telegram app does not start automatically, press the “Send message” button.

In Telegram app press the “Start” button to finish the authentication. If everything went smoothly, you will receive “Registration successful” notification.

Congratulations! You've completed the process of RaccoonUniBot registration for edX. The list of commands for it is available via /help or simply / message.

/location command is one of the most fun and interesting, as it can help you meet new people and make new friends!

From now on, when you log into your Raccoon Gang sandbox account and enroll for a course, you receive an invitation from the main bot to begin participating in a bot-friendly edX course.
